Come and enjoy a once in a lifetime experience in our traditional Romany caravan. The caravan is set in an acre of riverside meadow full of wild flowers, and has a rustic cabin with all modern facilities for a self-catering holiday.
The caravan was built in 1924 by Wood Bros (the best 'vardo' or gypsy waggon builders) and has been restored to provide a traditional interior with double bed, seating and cupboards.
Although it is roadworthy we let it static as learning to drive a horse would take half your holiday, and it means that we can guarantee a high standard of facilities in our cabin that sits next to the caravan.
You have exclusive use of the field which has the lovely Afon Ceri (River Ceri) running alongside its length. This clean, shallow river is a Site of Special Scientific interest, protected because of the otters, brown trout, and wil flowers that grow on the banks. It really is a beautiful and peaceful location- you will go to sleep at night hearing nothing but the call of wild birds and the flow of the river as it babbles over the rocks.
A newly built rustic cabin provides the modern facilities that make a quality self-catering holiday. This compact building houses a shower room (electric shower, proper flushing toilet etc) and a kitchen which has a Belfast sink, full-szie fridge, compact oven, microwave, hotplates, CD player etc.
NB: No children under 5 allowed due to the proximity to the river. Dogs allowed if kept under control.
